I love rainy days in the summer. When it is not summer, I work as a teacher (subbing only for now). So, to be home on a rainy day is just the perfect vacation day, for me, anyway. It is also a good time to do some research on some ideas that I have been thinking about. I have taken some books out of the library to help me brainstorm

I also like to take a break from the tidyworks world and make the most of this rainy day with a great read

my first day...Hello

This is my first day writing for this blog. It's my jump off baby for an idea that I am hoping and praying will go alright. The idea has a lot to do with the title of the blog and I hope to just shoot off like crazy from here. And, I just want to let the ideas flow......

Here is a natural and refreshing recipe for carpets in your home or apartment. I think it's nice to sprinkle on all the carpets around your home and in carpeted closets to freshen them and deodorize the material.

Tidy Mother's Lavender Soda Crystals

Mix together equal parts of baking soda and dried lavender in a glass jar or plastic container (I like to reuse old glass jars from jelly, pickles, salsa, etc.). Stores indefinitely.

For carpets- sprinkle liberally over carpets and let sit for 15-25 minutes. Vacuum as usual. Inhale the wonderful scent. Enjoy your day!
